Services - Litigation

Drever and Heddle have rapidly growing reputation for all types of contentious business.

Built around well known litigator, Eric Baijal, who joined the firm in January 2008, we now have a focussed and expanding litigation team.

We have considerable experience in dealing with cases for clients in the Sheriff Court, Land Court, Court of Session and Tribunals.

The team have particular interests in the following areas of dispute:-

  1. Commercial Litigation (including professional negligence claims)
  2. Commercial Insolvency
  3. Intellectual property
  4. Regulatory and Corporate Criminal Proceedings
  5. Construction
  6. Debt Recovery
  7. Property Litigation
  8. Personal Injury Claims

We also deal with all aspects of Family Law (further details of these services can be found by clicking on this link).

We recognise that there are very often no winners in a dispute. We will work hard to achieve a settlement without the need to litigate. This will sometimes include the use of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. However, you can take comfort in the fact that if you are forced to litigate, you are in safe hands.

We pride ourselves on the impressive commercial aspect to our practice; very few rural legal firms can boast the experience of corporate clients, which we can. Our litigation service is not just an "add on" service when a crisis happens. We aim to build relationships and provide advice over a period of time. That way, a client will hopefully have come to know and trust us before urgent responses are required.

We have an increasing client base in the Central Belt of Scotland. Lower overheads, excellent IT links and frequent visits South would not translate into much if it was not for our people. However, our personalities, results and approachability make us solicitors of choice for many businesses who have to litigate.

If you wish to have a no-obligation chat about how we can help protect your interests (either generally or in a specific case) please contact Eric Baijal.
