We have an experienced team who can advise on all aspects of Family Law. We recognise that clients are going through a stressful period in their life when they choose to consult us in connection with relationship or matrimonial problems. When instructed we work to ensure that our clients' interests are protected. Court action, particularly in this area, is better avoided. However, if Court Action is required then clients find us robust and pragmatic in our approach to litigation.
In particular, we have a particular expertise in cases where there are complicated financial provisions to be made upon separation and divorce. Our Partner Eric Baijal has a special interest in cases where there is some Business or Farming Asset to be divided.
We also deal with issues surrounding children such as contact and adoption.
Our Family Law team are also used to making applications to the Sheriff Court in connection with the Adults with Incapacity legislation.
